CTF Gameplay
CTF Gameplay Discussion How would you guys like Events Team Hostable CTF to be run? My idea is basically: Both teams have a flag, each team tries to steal each other flags and earn points - when the score limit is reached, one team wins, obviously.. Now the main problems I'm having, is deciding what I'd like to do with the flag runner, I considered disabling their weapons and increasing their speed so the team has to protect them rather than them just going rambo on everyone :p There wont be any healing aside from the in-event healing spots. Thoughts? |

Nice. What would be cool is randomly place vehicles that you can drive and you can whack people with the flag dealing 7 damage, and is a sword that lasts until you drop it off on your side.

Not too sure about making the flag runner faster. If anything, I think the flag runner should have a decrease in speed so teams are more viable to kill, and subsequently protect the flag runner. It also makes them more vulnerable to attacks, which makes capturing the flag an actual challenge. If the flag runner is faster than the norm, he could probably outrun chasers easily. Maybe give him a +20 health boost to compensate for his reduced speed. I'll post something more insightful after I get some rest, my brain isn't firing the way it should right now. |

I think it's perfect as it is... Though I'm sure there will be people who will not pick up the flag since they cannot use their weapon. =p

Well, this is what i'm trying to consider; I want people to actually work as a team -Afterall, the team winning means that team get the rewards, surely there must be some incentive to work as a group especially when you have to both defend and attack for the flags ~ I don't want to reduce the speed of the flag runner really, I think it'd probably make it a little difficult - especially if we already took away their own weapons. @ Kane, if they don't pick up the flag, they'll lose < ![]() Theres always people in CTF who take certain roles, some would rather sit and defend, others like to go take the flag |

You have to steal the flag, but bring it back to your team's flag to obtain a point. Everyone in the game has the same exact gun, so the game will be harder. When the person gets hit, they aren't damaged. The person that hit them gets 1 point. At the end of the game, the 3 players with the most points get 1 EC each. When the person gets the flag, he/she will have a tiny bit of increased running speed. the flag could hover above them as they run to their base. But, the weapon they use will do 1 less damage. Everyone also has the same exact melee. So each person has a gun and melee. There could be a bulletproof vest you can buy for a certain amount of EC, and it would only work for Events (CTF and TTS) Once the flag is brought back to the base, the team gets 1 point, first to 5 wins. |

2) I considered this also, maybe a selection of a shotgun, rifle and pistols or something to vary the weapon types a little? 3) No, regular damage and death but don't get kicked from event. 4)Discussed 5)Melee maybe 6) I want everyone to have the same advantages and disadvantages, id rather avoid use of external armours etc |

I like the original ideas from the first post and the melee idea, but how would teams be rewarded for working together if staff only recieves five EC per day?
