My First Good Graphic :D
Hey Graalians. Some of you may know, i'm not very good at making graphics. So today, I was bored, and tried using techniques and advice people have given me to make a sword. Here it is. Feel free to give your criticism about it. |

Interesting concept. However with metal you need to broaden your colors to get that shine in there

Actually, do you know any places where I can get a tutorial on how to shade metals like that? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, well I fixed it up a tiny bit, you may not be able to see the difference. First one:

@MSM, I saw the difference, and your first one, did you use any kind of shading in your sword? Its hard to tell.

Generally using dithering with such a small shading difference on a sword such as that doesnt help at all besides adding more colors to the graphic, which is the opposite of what dithering is supposed to do. Especially with swords, a light source is essential and that is what I think your graphic was lacking. The design is great though. Heres a quick tweak i did in a few seconds:

If your piece has to be opened in an editor and zoomed in to see what you've done then you're doing something wrong.
