I never used to be half-human. I used to go outside and interact with other human beings, 'til I moved school. I got into gaming to get away from the real world because I hate it.
What's your story?  

I sat on my ass and played games  

I was a born gamer, kind of.
When I used to go to the arcades and played the Sega arcade games. Then bought the Gameboy color+Pokemon Yellow in 1999. Like you, I use games as a way "to get away from life, temporarily".

I bought an Xbox when I was a little kid. And that's how it all started.  

As soon as I picked up my first controller and played a game it was like entering a whole new world. It was just so fun and addicting. My very first console was the Sega Dreamcast. I always played that.  

I first played Dreamcast. I didn't have any good games, so that sucked. Then my grandma bought me a GBA SP as a belated birthday present with I think, Herbie Fully Loaded. I tirelessly spent days upon days, weeks upon weeks, even years (3 to be exact) to beat the game. Then my mom bought us FireRed. Played it. Bought an original DS after it was released. Then it went from there.  

My first game was Bugdom for PC. But once I realized that it was the worst game ever, I just quit gaming altogether, except for a few zelda games but other than that, nothing. A few years ago my brother found SeaNanners when he just started YouTubing. I got obsessed with his videos and started actually gaming.  

I think when I was like 6 I saw Mario kart Double Dash on the gamecube as a demo at a store, played it, and was addicted. I literally would try to get my parents to go to the store to play it whenever I could. I bugged the crap out of them to let me buy it but they were afraid of getting me into videogames, but I got it eventually.

Played various nintendo games for years as my parents didn't want me to get anything else because other systems have more M rated games than nintendo, then eventually my friend got an ipod and it did all these cool things and had very cheap games, and that interested me. Got into a lot of online games and over time started shifting over towards pc gaming. oh and played age of empires 3 multiplayer for years, actually reached 2nd LT as a 10 year old LOL.  

I got Space Invaders on a handheld console when I was really young. After that point, there was no going back.

I got a Gameboy Advance before I went on a holiday when I was a kid. All went downhill from there.  

Listen up kiddies, time to tell a story.
First, when I was a kid I bought my first gameboy, along with a Lilo & Stitch game. Then came pokemon games. Red, green, all uvem. After that long time of that, I got my PS2 along with Lego Starwars, Starwars Starfighter, Star trek, Tony Hawk: Underground, and Star Wars Battlefront II. Then what seemed like a century of that, I got an xbox along with Halo, Halo 2, and Star Wars Battelfront II(PS2 Game broke). Then near 2007 I got my first DS, more pokemon. Then my DS Lite, more pokemon. Then my DSi, even more pokemon! Then I balled up and got a Laptop and iPod. Started graal and then expanded to Wii which my dad totally hyped up and hacked(Its sick), Then 4 days ago from this post here, my iPod went through the washing machine because I didnt check my pockets. So im down to 2 broken DS's, a jacked DSi, 1 Wii, 2 Xbox's, 1 Possibly not working PS2, and a Laptop. No, im not a fatass nerd thatsits all day, gaming was just a way for me to do something I enjoy and relax at the same time, half the time im on forums im in my PJ's in my bed. At 3 am.  

It all started with my ps1 then the ps2 came and it was awesome. then the wii came and i stuck with the ps2 then the xbox 360 and i was like this is epic. then ipad was like super epic
