Has this forum in general just become a place for anger and hatred to be vented?
"Ermagard, I jus red dis book in Engrish and it sux arse."
On the topic of Graal you've got:
"ERMAGARD, I'VE BEEN BAND. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU."

My threads are very differentiating in their purpose.

It's a beautifully written novel with a plot reflecting the lifestyle of the roaring 20s. I actually loved the book but maybe thats because, as someone not from the States, I found it to be much more engaging.

I could see where you are coming from, in my opinion the movie is somewhat entertaining. But the book... I just didn't see what the hype was about. It wasn't god awful, but I found it to be a very pointless read. It didn't really inform me about anything of the time period that I didn't already know (not speaking for everyone, obviously), it didn't expand my creativity, and it did not challenge my literacy very much. It was very much fictional so anything I learned about history was very minor. Maybe its simplicity was what made some people like it...?
