Halloween Submissions 2018!!
 

1. All Content must be made solely by you, from scratch, meaning no edits of existing content
2. Any graphics made between two or more people as a collaboration can only gain the rewards on a singular account
3. NO copyright infringement
4. Keep things appropriate (i.e. nothing obscene, indecent, or controversial in nature)
5. Do not use pure black (#000000) or pure white (#ffffff). If you use these colors, they will be transparent in-game
6. You may submit multiple items
7. If you make recolors, you will receive all the colors you submit but will only receive the gralats for the one hat. You cannot accumulate more gralats from multiple colors of one item
8. All submissions must utilize one of the provided templates. Custom sized morphs, mounts, furniture, etc. will not be allowed
9. All submission must be either a .png or .gif file format. Any other file formats (ex. .jpeg, .jpg, etc.) will not be accepted
10. Accessories will not be allowed for this event
11. This thread will be used for questions and comments only. Posts not pertaining directly to this event will be removed. If you wish to post your progress and receive or give constructive criticism, please use the progress thread

If you're interested in submitting content for this event, then upload your creations to an image hosting website (such as imgur.com) and email the links to [email protected]. Title the email "Halloween Submission" and include your Graal ID (which can be found in the feedback menu in-game).
If you do not include your Graal ID you cannot receive your reward should your submission be accepted!

Can players from Graal submit items? I'm not the best at graphics but I have a friend that would most likely be interested in this. If I redirect her to this page can she submit files?

You mean not from graal? If she doesn't play graal she can't get a prize, and I couldn't give her prize to someone else either as submissions have to be made by the person submitting it. Otherwise it would be pretty unfair.

No, I mean someone from GraalOnline, not someone from the forums.

Yep! Well, you'll receive either 10k or 5k depending on what the item is. But yes, you will get the gralats and the item(s).

Unless you submitted an item with recolors, then you'll only get gralats for one of those items, but still receive all the recolors on your account.

Oh yes absolutely! This isn't just a forums event :) Just make sure she includes her Graal ID when she submits her item. Might be best if she checked out this thread, even, so she can see all the rules and such. I've added a link to this thread in my status in-game so anyone who doesn't have a graalians account can check it out.

Hey! Can we use graal colours for submissions? E.G, if I wanted to make a Pumpkin item, could I use the colour-pick tool and use the colours straight from the Graal pumpkins or etc?

We prefer using an image hosting site, but as long as the images you attach are either .png or .gif images that should be okay as well.

Using graal colors/color picking from existing stuff would be totally okay for the sake of consistency. I'll attach the graal color palette to the original post as well.

blood, monsters and gory stuff should be fine as long as it's not too over-the-top. We do have some bloody stuff in-game so i don't see a problem with that.

Just keep in mind that a lot of kids do play this game, so as long as you follow the basic rules listed above you should be fine.

As long as it's a direct link to the image, it should be fine. Although we would prefer you use imgur or photobucket.

wordpress or google drive should be okay as long as they can provide a direct link. Usually by right-clicking the image and selecting "copy image address". That link is usually a direct link...however if that doesn't create a direct link we wouldn't be able to view it.

Since the candy shop is way smaller than the amount of items given out in presents, it seems that it’s going to be harder for items to be accepted, unless it’s different this year?

either upload it to imgur and email us the direct link or attach the files to the email itself.

It's a small shop but there's also the goodie bags. There shouldn't be any limit to what we can accept and should be able to have as many items as Christmas would (if we even get that many!)

Does anyone know of any gfx tools which can be used on preferably a chromebook...thinking of trying to learn some gfx skills and having this as a goal would be a good bit of motivation. Doubt I'll actually get anything done in time, but its still a starting point.

I don't know much about chromebooks but I used to use paint.NET before i switched to photoshop. I liked it pretty well. Only thing I would recommend that's free.

So you have to add at least one hand, above the food item, for the animation?

In fact I imagine this is encouraged... though for shading and stuff you might want to get creative.

Don't use paint.net it gives you viruses when you download it.

for food like the burger you eat from burger refuge, there isn't a template for that. it's just made on a 32x32 canvas. as for bowls and drinks, what yami said.

I've used Paint.net( Still do time to time when not using photoshop since im not 100% aware of everything in PS) Never gotten a virus. Make sure you download it from the official site, Gimp is also fine tho

o.o I've never heard of paint.net giving viruses? I never got one. You just have to make sure you hit the right download button (top right), and do it from the official site (which I linked above).

Tbh I think it'd be pretty hard to make anything that's actually so grotesque that it would have to be disapproved with pixel art. I'll def let anyone know if something really is that disturbing lol, but as long as you follow the basic rules I don't think there'll be any problems.

Are you asking if emotes would be a 10k reward or a 5k? If so I'd say 5k. Smaller, less complicated stuff would only be 5k
