Mount Spar

Sparring on your mount

Kendama 08-02-2014 11:58 PM

...What is the point?

Craftz 08-03-2014 12:35 AM

Wasn't there a mount spar building in York when it was released but was kept closed and eventually turned into Revolution?

Don't think so.

It would be better now that the horses are fixed.

Yeah, there was now that I think of it. I remember glitching inside.

This was made about 2 or so years ago and was going to be where Revolution is now. But I don't know why they didn't release it in the end

Well it just seems kinda random. I have never seen the mount system work very well for PvP (the fast health drops, the different ranges for above/below attacks)

If Rufus changed the mount system it might be different but how I remember it- it wouldn't make a very fun system and would just be like "why?".

Different mounts have different speeds so this wouldn't work. This would be a p2w activity.

the fast health drops

It was fixed not too long ago.

I won't say this with 100% certainty since I can't personally check Graal's code, but I would say this is BS. The way Graal handles hit detection does not imply any sort of variable ranges at all. If anything at all, it merely looks as though ranges are different because of the player visually sitting higher than normal. The collision/hit detection does not move with the player. When in doubt, use your shadow as a reference.

This is something I can't really confirm personally, but I do not think any mounts purchased move/accelerate faster than others. I know some move slower than the average mounts, but I don't think any move faster...

joust would be fun.

Cody 08-03-2014 06:29 AM

From what I got from horse races, all mounts are equal in speed. Just how good you know the map, your lag, how many bushes you eaten, and how you turn.

not sure if you realize how simple that is to circumvent from a scripting perspective
not to mention, increased speed isn't always an advantage
