I won't say this with 100% certainty since I can't personally check Graal's code, but I would say this is BS. The way Graal handles hit detection does not imply any sort of variable ranges
at all. If anything at all, it merely
looks as though ranges are different because of the player visually sitting higher than normal. The collision/hit detection does not move with the player. When in doubt, use your shadow as a reference.
Different mounts have different speeds so this wouldn't work. This would be a p2w activity.

This is something I can't really confirm personally, but I do not think any mounts purchased move/accelerate faster than others. I know some move slower than the average mounts, but I don't think any move faster...
