Outdated Guild Pic Problem
 

Ik this is a common issue for a long time but from asking people it seems like the majority of people see the guild pic that I had before I changed it. And there were people who said they see the guild pic that I had a year ago???? Anyone know how to fix this problem?

The guild pic thing has always been an issue, for no apparent reason. I've even had images show up as my guild pic that I never uploaded. Submitted a ticket like 3 years ago to toonslab about this... never got any response.

This doesn't work if you get past a certain number of tower hours (10+ ?) It no longer gives you the option to rename.

One part of the issue is that people have outdated guild pictures cached and the server isn’t overwriting them.
I’ve also heard that the server can send out outdated images sometimes instead of updated ones

This might be able to get fixed if they can force the guild pictures to get overwritten by the new ones in peoples cache files but idk for sure

Not sure what device you use, but if you're using android, enable cache files in your player options. This is usually what causes this issue for android devices. Another fix that I believe has worked for me in the past is re-uploading the same guild logo multiple times after it has been approved. Other than these suggestions, it may be just a matter of waiting.

The problem is that guild logo names are static ( e.g. guildlogo_guildname.jpeg ) so they get cached by Cloudflare for an indeterminate amount of time.

This will be fixed in the NGS.

what an absolutely obnoxious bug

I think it depends on the device, I used to have this problem with my guild when I tried changing my GP on my phone, but when I logged onto PC and changed it, it was fine. At least for me and the members in it.
