Why? School encourages dating somewhat with school dances such as Prom and whatnot. I think dating in your teen years is a good way of understanding who you are, what you like and what you don't like.
I found myself going to my significant other for school/emotion support while dating and she came to me. When done right, dating while being in school can benifit you such as providing you a study partner and someone there to cheer you on and up.
I don't understand why people think there is an "age limit" to start dating. Back in the day you could get married at 15, lol. It's just doing what makes you happy as long as it doesn't negativly effect anyone else.

Maybe it works for some people, but I've overheard so many kids at my school talking about who's dating who, and breaking up with them the next week, then people crying in class over "boyfriends" that they've been with for a few days. It just seems like no one under the age of 16 or so has the emotional maturity to have a relationship that won't interfere with their education. Again, there are exceptions.
