The highest score you can reach in archery is 9,800 (and I believe you have to do this by lagging your device and getting all bullseyes).

Yes, everyone who gets the high score 1 hour after the season resets does this
If they just fixed that and made it so that the high score announces every time 9800 is tied, I don't even think it'd be so bad under the current system
