The problem with IP Ban
my wifi network is open, and i have nearby neighbors and friends who play Graal with me, recently logged on saying i was banned lol, this effects not only who got banned but effected the other 5 people who play Graal with me, im saying if they want a better security for banning they should do it another way, not only is it easier to get out of a IP ban its harder to get out of an account ban, why not just account ban, not ban my whole network xD

Because people can circumvent account bans easily. You shouldn't be leaving your wifi open anyways.

A good solution here is to not do things that warrant a ban.

Both types of ban can be circumvented pretty easily with the right knowledge and programs. Either way, just try to not get yourself banned again.

Only the most overplayed excuse ever. You are accountable for whatever happens on your device. If you have an open WiFI network (or even a locked network that you give the password out to anyone who smiles at you), you are accountable for it too. IP bans have their use. Tell your friends not to be dicks on your WiFi. |

The fact that you used "xD" in this thread makes it fake.

ip bans are incredibly easy to circumvent as well. Most large companies don't do local ip bans, just general ip bans for a whole country because they're not licensed to sell their game there. If Graal ever became huge, ip bans would have to be removed. Imagine if WoW started ip banning people, people at dorms/apartment wifi would be pissed. bans should be account based. If someone did something bad enough to deserve an ip ban chances are they know how to circumvent it using a method like a proxy or calling their isp to change their ip. heck I even heard just restarting your modem gives you a new ip. |

I heard that if I shoved my cat's tail in the light socket it would rain rainbows.
