Ocarina of Time
I've been playing Ocarina of Time for at least seven years and it has never gotten old(thanks to the debug roms, 3ds version, and glitching.) I'm just wondering if anyone else loves this classic as much as I do.

I do love the Zelda series, but the games do end, so I really can't find myself playing after I get 100%...

OoT and Majora's Mask are too different at their design to compare. OoT was a story-driven game that was developed for YEARS and put most of its effort into the core story/dungeons. Majora's Mask was a game developed in a single year, because they wanted to see if they could, and put much more emphasis on the atmosphere and side quests than the main storyline/dungeons. I like both, but for different reasons; that's why they're not comparable. |

Twilight Princess was flawed, and it had a few of them... but I still enjoyed it, and I enjoyed it enough to revisit it a couple of times. I just wish they'd stop being so forceful with their intended route/story/gameplay. The hour-long intro is hard to tolerate a second, or third time around. That makes it hard for people to revisit it; which is a big no-no with a Zelda game. Then they just hand-feed the player EVERYTHING. I liked OoT because after you get out of the forest they shove you into a huge world and say "ya... go anywhere." Sure, many places couldn't be gotten to, but many places COULD. And once you get into the Adult timeline you could go in any damn direction you wanted. That's the biggest problem with Zelda games anymore... no freedom. Sidequests were another problem, they were severely lacking. Also the twilight world crap with collecting the lights were tedious. All in all a fun, but flawed game. I can see why people would like it more than OoT(the dungeons were much larger, imposing. Many of the boss battles were just... really fun. The world was nicely imagined... so on), though. |

I definitely agree. It seems people just think OoT is the best Zelda game ever, where in my opinion it is nowhere near the top. One of the most annoying things is that most people's reason for liking it so much is that it was the first game released on the N64... I have really never seen its appeal and personally think MM is the best out right now as it has a pretty boss story line, loads of side quests, not to mention the fact it is probably one of the most profound games in the Zelda series.
