Turkey. I like the Latin name for it better. Gallopavo, It fits two ways, first gall- is the root for rooster, gallus, and hen, gallina, and because in Latin V's are pronounced as W's, Gallopavo would sound like gallopawo, which when said like latin speaker sound like the noise turkeys make. |
