Either hats as rewards gotta go, or change the way hats are given out. If players can keep making new guilds to get 1k hours, then why would they want to go to 5k to get the next guild hat?

Give all the guilds past #30 on the leader boards a little fort trophy as a generic item while swapping them for the hat and have them go for 5k for a hat with a 25 player hat limit.

You were a hat chaser at once.

I have one 1k hat from Voyage. Going for a 1k does not make you a hat chaser. A hat chaser is a person who starts a guild, takes it to 1k, disbands the guild, starts another one, takes it to 1k, etc.  

How about get rid of giving out 1k hats and just keep 5k hat and 10k mount.

No mount for 10k. No 5k or 1k reward.
10k for a hat of your choice.  

A. Change the guild hat mark to 2000 or 3000hours.

or

B. Give a 6month advance notice before getting rid of guild hats.

Best method is saying that hats are done being given out and be done with it, ignore all the whiners. If they say that 900 hours was for nothing than they weren't towering for the right reason anyway.

Failed because staff didnt ignore the mass protest. in fact thats the first time staff gave in changed something back. (ok well last weeks cheeseheads had no effect on the guild pic issue)

Some guilds obtained 1000 fort hours and were then passed by other guilds, so it would make more sense to let the first 30 guilds to reach 1000 fort hours keep their hats.

You should only be able to get one 1k Hat. This would solve all problems. End of story.

I was thinking something along the lines of a limit to where each player can only receive one 1k hat, one 5k hat, and one 10k not matter how many guilds they are in.  

One 10k hat of your choice. This raises encourages guilds to waste MORE TIME! We all know Time=Money, so if hat-chasers have to tower more that means they buy more packs for burgers!
