Future of Classic

For those who don't know, I used to be involved with Classic to a lesser extent. Right now, I'm interested in knowing what people think about whats happening with Classic right now?

For me, I think Classic is in good hands and has more capability now then it ever did,

I'd say I'm somewhere between the top two choices. I'm quite optimistic and happy with the direction the server is going, but I'm not exactly holding my breath (I tend not to get too excited about video games).

In other words, Go Classic.

You guys seem to have lots of dev staff that are constantly pumping out content, but the content you guys are creating doesn't seem very lasting or substantial. I think that the iClassic staff needs to focus more on content that can last a while. We need more guild interaction and guild events outside of CTF. It would be nice if you guys were to create more incentive to play CTF, perhaps even be able to queue up vs other guilds. I'm not asking for a seasonal tournament, rather a system similar to GS.

It just needs more games and activities. Most of the time it's "News Update! # new hats have been added to (location)! New two person mount!" The sad part is a lot of the time they're priced outrageously. I know we have events, but you have to find the warper in order to play. I think more buildings should be put to use for games. Now I hate to bring up Club Penguin, but they had a lot of pretty fun mini games to play on there and a decent way to earn coins. I'm not expecting an amazing game of the year kind of thing considering this is a $1.99 (I think? $2.99?) app, but Classic needs more things to do.

The problem right now seems to be that Graal isn't isolating what has always made the game fun and enjoyable:

Economy (as with servers like UN, Zodiac, 2001/Bomy Moon, 2002/Kingdoms)
Sparring (as with literally every server in Graal history)
PKing (as with literally every server in Graal history)
Events (as with literally every server in Graal history)

IMO, these four things should always have a major focus. Some examples:

We need clarity about the trading system. We need more things to spend gralats on. We need more ways to earn gralats.
Give a purpose to the sparring leaderboard and/or improving the algorithm. Make a singles tournament. Create a tag team spar. Bring back spar hats. Give us something new to spar for, introduce more in-depth stats to sparring, etc.
PKing is fun, but needs more of a point behind it. The PK leaderboards need a purpose. The allied guilds system and towers in general could be much improved to make PKing smoother and more fun, etc.
I don't understand why Classic does not yet have an events economy, like most other Graal servers have always had. Giving out hats for an event is a problem. We need event points or event coins and an EP/EC shop. We need more events.

Obviously, there are other things to be taken care of like the development of the overworld, etc. Classic already has things that people enjoy, and they need to be improved upon to add some enjoyment and replay value.

This isn't me complaining either, because I can understand why development would be slow when you're developing for a game that does not pay you or reward you in any way.

Suprised at the results really..was worded interestingly.
Anyways I think that the updates are poor No I'm not saying the gfx are poor I'm saying the updates are poor because they are so repetitive..it doesn't matter if there is hints here and there if 1/100are going to be progressed, focus on one lead at a time rather than throwing bits and bob's here and there.

Yeah I agree with this, guilds are a massive thing on classic, I would love to see more guild events than forts/spar like extending CTF into guild activity(said this yonks ago) and maybe other new games to do

I'd say iClassic is doing better than it ever has, the management seems to have changed quite a bit from throwing random content in, to actually thinking about how to pull something off.

36.51%	Most have updates have been fairly boring but occasionally some good things come. Reluctant hope.
