Hate Against Roleplay
I'm just curious why it gets so much hate. I'm not so bothered by people disliking 'sexy roleplay' because its not necessarily appropriate, it's more of everyone hating people who 'work' at the burger refuge, or want to do pirate, ninja, or whatever roleplay. I don't even see why people hate adoption so much. It'd be like me complaining that sparrers are dumb and annoying because they all huddle around the battle arena and talk.

It gets so much hate because it almost always turns into a sexual creep fest. For example, adoption. If you've ever tried being adopted either as a joke or because it's what you're into, you'd know this. A lot of the time people are adopted the owner or 'parent' has another agenda in mind. It's quite disturbing when the adopter starts to flirt and cyber with the adoptee. That gets a little out of hand and crosses a few major lines. Imagine that same thing happening in the real world. It's pretty disgusting whenever you think about it. What I'm trying to say is almost all clean intended role play usually ends up becoming sexual related somehow. Which is what makes roleplay in general look bad.

Some guy had the balls to yell at me for roleplaying as a ninja. I took my katana and chopped his f**king head off. |

But anyway, basically I don't see why people put so much hate on anything they're not personally involved in. Don't affect them so 1) why should they care so much 2) how are they in any way justified to judge others?(Prob not writtin in proper English, but I just woke up rofl) I've roleplayed (like serious, storyline and dressing up to the role roleplaying) before because my friends were really into it, and actually it's very difficult rofl. I don't have that improv creativity to think of dialogue and plot twists on the spot. |

I tried role playing with iHot one time and he sucked and it got really awkward because he'd refuse to be a girl so he hired Blueh to do it but he wouldn't either.

I don't understand it either. As Latte said, it does not affect that haters at all, they could easily ignore it. People do it to have fun, it's a way to play the game.

Roleplaying is ****ing fun when you have enough people, even 4 are already fitting. I remember playing "Mitadake High" ago some years, a game based on Death Note partly and a theme which was always students (or other roles depending on custom maps) and a killer. Of course killing randomly, not emoting actions, rushing and interrupting would let into a ban. But yea, it was one of the best online 2D games I ever played, if not the best. (cybering was not allowed on almost every server) |

Roleplay is fun! Except the kind where you're fighting someone with your own character and you both say stuff like "My character has invincibility to almost any attack! He is immune to your lightning..." "Oh yeah? Well mine is so powerful he can killz urs in one hit!" "Noes mine can just dodge any attack!"

I think it's only acceptable as a joke, and for so many people it's definitely not a joke. It's some serious role play. There's really no supreme logic to why I hate it. I just think it's immature and not necessary. But I don't complain about it at all because I realize that it actually is a part of the game for some people. I do always avoid the burger refuge and the area where it happens, though. Out of sight, out of mind. |
