So it's nailed on I'll be getting an Amazon Kindle this weekend as I am sick of reading eBooks off a laptop screen and not a big fan of holding massive physical copies of books. So I'm looking for recommendations on what books I should get which yourselves have enjoyed.

I should point out the type of books I enjoy are Science & Nature books when it comes to non-fiction and when it comes to fiction I like things from Kurt Vonnegut/Phillip Pullman/J.K. Rowling (Of course). So those are the type of authors who I like.

Firstly though, I will be looking to power through the "A Song of Fire & Ice" series by George R. R. Martin, which no doubt most of you are now familiar with thanks to HBO's phenomenal series "Game of Thrones" (If not you bloody well should be!).

So fire away! Give me your recommendations.

Already read Frankenstein as a kid. Chuck Palahniuk interests me, I want to read Fight Club because the movie is one of my favourites, will give ''Choke'' a look.

Some studies have argued lack of natural light(SUN), rather than overexposure to FAKE light are to blame for bad eyesight.

either way i'm kinda ****ed

My rationale is that if I'm carrying around something as big as a Kindle, I may as well carry something that can do more than one thing . .

Do you use the Kindle application and get stuff of Amazon for the books? There's over 4000 free books on the Amazon library and you can download for free in Kindle format from things like the works of Plato, On the Origin of Species and Dracula. Spoiled for choice.

I haven't. I've pirated all of the books I have so far, and intend on continuing to do so.
