Can we not do a PC vs Console war? He's already decided on a PC.  

Pcs are good because you can then, after the first build, continue adding to the PC which newer, faster parts

you can play pc games with a controller so that's completely irrelevant. you can also put a pc in your living room so the whole "lolz comptuer chair vs couch" arguement is also irrelevant.

Not without installing third party programs and drivers, and sometimes that doesnt even work. Because I love hassling with that crap when I just want to play a game.
I've never met one person who actually hooks up their computer to their living room tv, nor is it feasible to operate a keyboard and mouse on a couch. Saying everything is irrelevant is hardly supporting your argument.

Microsoftmakes Xbox 360 USB controllers for PC, how is that third party, eh? And what does installing third-party drivers have to do with anything? I never have problems with it, and it's not like it takes half the day to install one...  

You have already decided to go with PC. Why does it matter now?

I have have both so I dont need convince anyone else which is better. They both have pros and cons.

installing a game from steam is so hard.

we have a living room computer dedicated for just that. wireless mice and keyboards are very easy to use on the couch. im saying that your arguements against the ergonomics of pc gaming are irrelevant.
