It is, in fact, for the security of the players. It's not good to have real life images in a game like this. We all know about the "Rate gp, I'm 13, I need bf, my kik is blabla"-girls at start. The internet is a dangerous place for teenagers/kids like these. I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain. |

Most players are young so it's inappropriate to show a real life pic of themselves. Attracting more kids like a ********* ugh. |

Does this apply to any picture from real life or simply pictures that include people in them?

I think it is a good idea. The real-life images have been blacklisted from zone for about 4 months now. Having the option of allowing players to upload pictures of themselves is not teaching them any lessons in keeping their personal stuff confidential.

I remember talking to Stefan on RC. He noted that there is some US law regarding minors posting images of themselves (under 13 I think) without parental consent. This makes sense actually because Facebook has the same procedure (I believe)

Easiest way around this would be just to have to tick a box saying your over 13 before you can upload the picture.
