My two cents: staff can focus on making things perfect, resulting in substantive releases once every 1-3 years, or they can lower their standards a bit and release more frequently. Classic staff have not yet found this happy balance. I think players would be happy with anything at this point---perfection is an unsustainable goal.

I'm not looking to release perfection--just something fun.

Hello lovely people of this thread. After reading some of the post I kinda stopped because it started to get "redundant". The idea is great I think something like this would make classic "better" in a sense. Going back to the roots of classic making it more zelda-like

I like it! Like the girl who started this thread said the work may be to much of an effort but I think the finishing product would be amazing ^.^ You guy's play it safe in a way. Maybe take a risk now and then if players don't like it you can open up something amazing in that area. All I see now-a-days is;

"NEXUS OPENED FOR THE WEEKEND" I think you guys should say "NEXUS IS OPENED FOR THE WEEKEND LOOK OUT FOR OVER PRICED HATS AND MOUNTS

Or is that to much of the truth? I do not care about hats, I don't want to pay like 7k+ graalats for some silly hat. I feel like you guys should give us more, like a NEW AREA(what this thread is mainly about) I just love the idea, as a player I want to be able to explore more instead of just spar and pk and buy hats. Wooh hats! New hats! WE GOT HATS! It gets old real fast! Even the spar tournament is so focused on hats!

Actually classic are constantly adding new areas not as big as towns but still areas and the reason hat updates are made is it's easy and fun to do don't forget admins like to have fun too sometimes that may involve Wreking other people fun

iClassic is never going to get something big. Just look at how little it has changed over the few years it has been out.
Nobody has the time to develop for it. That is the excuse every apologist of iClassic uses. "we have lives" or "we're just volunteers"

Thats all fine and dandy but it just proves nothing is going to get done.

What classic could do is ask each one of it's staff if they really want to work there. Or, if most of the classic staff is in-active just remove the in-active ones who barely contribute and find some people who would love to work and contribute to the server. I am sure they can find people who are very excited and can contribute to the server more than what's been happening.

"fun and easy", exactly my point. They need to risk some things(gamble if you will) because sooner or later when delteria is released all of classic's players will just move to delteria maybe not all but most. So you sometimes have to think "Will hats truly be enough?"

And Admins make hats because: You can't upload hats,
Why would we buy a head 2500 that anyone can have if we can spend 4 time more expansive for a head someone will steal using iFile and who won't be refound/banned,
Body is a pain in the back(I agree with that),
Mounts are for VIP mainly so why would we buy a horse 2500 when we can spend 7500 to have it and to have acess to an island with nothing to do except spending more gralats on pets, house furnitures and hats!
The best road isn't alway the easiest but it's giving good result almost all of the time.

I don't doubt that the staff has good intentions; in fact, I know they do. But deleting the rail system before having a new rail system ready to go is a prime example of the staff's unreasonable pursuit of perfection.

Personally, I would love exploring the old areas of PC Classic again, whether or not they have "good" content there.

Yeah, cause every person that's ever worked on Classic develops content with the intent of ripping you off. They are all in it to make you purchase as many gralat packs as possible so they can get their share of those sales.
