I think maybe removing all rewards from towering would stop hat chasers, considering there would be no hats to chase. ._.

And most people either don't tower for rewards, or tower for hats. They don't usually want something else.

Mate i'm no hat chaser, i haven't towered since early 2012 however, when you do something for a long period of time you generally want a reward, you don't go to work and say "no its cool don't pay me", anyways my point is removing all the prizes is the worst idea yet.  

I say if people wanna hat chase let them hat chase. I agree with Zoo people wouldn't put the work in if their wasn't a reward at the end of the day. Granted it does suck when you are there from the very begging or join when the guild only has several hundred hours of tower time and stay to 1k or beyond and you get the same prize as the 300 people that show up to help at 750+ hours and on till 1k.

It makes you think why do all that when you can jump in a guild that's around 800 hours,and get a hat for only maybe a months work. I certainly don't wanna put in the time and effort I put in towering for UFO and have people who put in only 1/4th of that get the same reward again.  

You guys complain about hats chasers again... Tho the admins only make hats, how is that suppose to make less hats chasers!? STop Complaining about hats chasers if you can't even make us anything else then hats!!

Listen twat, stop acting so high and mighty, we all know you buy hats as well. barely anyone actually neglects hats yet they all have the balls to complain about them.  

Dude f*** hats. Stopped buying since I've won a couple of good ones.

But anyways, we can't expect anymore decent content other than things that appeal to the cosmetic side of Classic, since the development team is so short-hand.  

I don't really see why it matters.

VG, CoM, Cj, CxE, and NaL all went pass 5k and kept going.

We didn't do it because of we saw oh 1k hats are easy your mind is in the wrong place if you think 5k hat matters or any item.  

This is kind of off topic,but since people always want to complain about hat chaser's why not try to change things to wean people off of their hat chasing? For example why does 98% of the events prizes have to be hats? I am not saying all events,but I have seen a rare event held once in a great while where the prize is a mount or maybe even a morph. I know sometimes they have those as prizes in buried treasure events. But I mean the other regularly run events its almost always a hat.

Then they keep handing out the same hats so they become less rare and they start running into the problem of people winning events that all ready have the hat thats supposed to be the prize. So why not offer a mount,morph,bomb,gani as prizes more often? Or maybe atleast give an option between a couple hats sometimes? I know people do events and don't always like the hat the hosting admin is offering up as a prize.

I don't know about anybody else but I would certainly like to compete for something other than hats.

Hats are minimal effort for high reward. What I mean by that is hats are extremely easy to make and there will always be people who want them. And compared to creating morphs which require multiple sprites or fun wNPCs that require graphics, ganis and coding this is absolutely true.
