I like Y better, the reason I traded it in was because I wanted to see if my problem kept happening with a new card.

But I didn't care enough to go back to game stop for a fourth time in one day.

The graphics are great, the videos don't really do it justice. There's a few spotty places in the over world but thats it. The towns look good. The animations are great too. Adds a lot of life to the pokemon. The core gameplay is pretty much the same as any other pokemon game though. But there's a lot of new things like horde battles and sky battles that shake things up. I haven't played a pokemon game in 10 years though, so everything feels fresh to me.

Okay, I have played a lot of pokemon Y to the point where I am almost to the legendary. During this time I have experienced what I feel is the core aspect of the game.

What I like:
Little things that make the pokemon feel more like they are yours not just some pixels. Pokemon Amie does a great job of making it feel like you are actually bonding with the pokemon, the mini games are also fun, but get boring after some time

Animations/battle is amazing. No longer do they attack by moving 2 pixels, but they have animations. However, not every attack has its own animation, so a lot of animations get reused per pokemon. It still feels nice however.

Speed is ****ing great. No longer does it take 2 minutes to save, it literally takes a second. The story progresses quickly past all the introductory crap. It honestly took me a little less than a hour to get my first gym badge and just roam around. Gone is the time where you have to run back and forth between grass delivering crap to everyone before you actually get to a gym.

Music is good. I like how they remastered old tunes and made them more "modern". Also the pokemon sound better as well.

Multiplayer. As long as you are in wifi range, you can battle, trade, communicate with your friends you have registered on your 3DS or people you "pass by". Also, trainer customization fits in well here as you can see the custom people when you battle them.

Old pokemon right from the start. I think this is my biggest happy point. My first wild pokemon encounter was a pidgey and it just brought me back.

Things I don't like:
The story (this far) is really stupid. Of course, I didn't expect much of it since it does appeal to children as well, but a more mature storyline could have been cool, if only a bit.

Mom has a room in the house. Wtf, she needs to sleep on the couch.

Riding heavy pokemon. It feels more like a grind to get to a place more than anything. Rydon and Mamoswine are not that fun to ride (gogoat is though)

More customize options. I felt like the clothing selection and hair styles were really limited.
