I recently retired from the Graal Police team, but I must regretfully admit, I once abused my powers. I accidentally banned someone for a week when it should have been a month.

Anyways, people don't seem to realize that most illegitimate bans are caused by the ban system, as it also issues staff-bestowed bans to all tied accounts. The system is set up to prevent ban evasion, but it often causes many innocent players to receive someone else's ban as well.

Most of those bans are because people log into another person's account or have someone log into theirs. What really annoyed me was when they would have their account unlinked after a wrongful ban like that and then go and share accounts again and wonder why they would end up with another ban.

because they hire admins who have 0 in-game experience and don't know the game's mechanics or what is and what isn't allowed at towers

just gonna assume I was banned for standing in the flag doorway blocking the entrance like any other intelligent defender has ever done at Sardon's

the worst part about a ban like this is that even if you are unbanned, it will still technically "count against you" and you're more likely to have wrongful bans held against you in the future

I know the contingency may be.. very low. And with very low, I mean minimal. But maybe.. how shall I tell you this, maybe you did something violating the rules? Mind the maybe, please. We all know you, Thallen, would never do things which go against rules, especially those ones leading into a [global] ban.

Just wait until it's over, life goes on.. probably.

I'm curious, from your experience is this mostly from sharing accounts?

As far as I could tell, yes. There were a few exceptions, but not many.

Ah, because more than once I think I have logged into Facebook unidentified and it logged me into someone elses account. I don't think Graal generates a unique ID as Stefan thinks it does.

One time Soren and my account glitched half-together and i had his name, was in the guild he was in even though I actually was in my own guild and somehow I was able to talk in both guild chats and read both... Not sure if he did something as he said he didn't but might just be a troll...  

Anyone else banned for the reason 'multiple bans'? This happened to me after I was unbanned from an 8k hour ban, and an account reset, (I got the acc back eventually) for saying 'selling account' the ban reason being 'acc selling is illegal'. Next when I'm unbanned after nearly a year I got banned straight away again for the reason 'multiple bans'.

this IMO has to be the stupidest ban reason you can give. Getting banned for being banned a lot for stupid reasons, just yesterday I was banned for talking about how Draco was fired. Banned for 167 hours - ban reason being: 'inappropriate behaviour'. I hope once unixmad and stefan make some money they will proper staff, not that they hire staff or ever probably will because all they care about is money...

You know.. Stefan banned some players hisself for 'multiple bans'. Anyways, that ban was used to ban a player globally (make him not able to log in instead of just banned on one server) on Graals PC client. I'm not sure how it works on iOS-servers though. Maybe it's being used to make you stop, the harder the punishment the sooner you'll break or some other say.  

I know this is something that a stereotypical noob would say but, 2010 was the best year for staff imho. Right now there is just too many staff, and it is so easy to get hired now.


Stefan won't care about doesn't care about the current plethora staff and he probably won't care about the latter. Which will obviously be ****ty. PP  

Why doesn't it send you a message telling who banned you so you can make it personal >;)  

I like it how one chick can get hired on 3/4 iDevice servers and staff of each server can't manage to figure out why she got fired from the last server, but still hire her one their server.

I think if you get banned for hacking, the system bans all the accounts associated with your wifi. It happened to me too, I got banned for a legit reason though so I can't really complain.
