Generally people don't go from winning 1/4 games to losing 1/4 games in a short time. So, you wouldn't see something that drastic. W/L ratio is a perfect meter for skill, but it works to generally place someone.

Ratio is a good measure of ability but it's not only one, I spar around a 2:1 ratio but only just became positive, however the majority of sparrers don't go so negative as I did and if they do are usually just bad at spar and would most likely just quit.

can't name a single player who went from horribly bad to amazingly good in the 10+ years that I've sparred pretty sure sparring is just one of those things you either get or you don't not exactly a very high skill cap to it and the learning curve isn't exactly steep |

W-L Ratio alone is not a good measure... it includes all spars, not just recent spars; and it does not incorporate your opponent's skill. If your W-L is 2-1, and you win a spar (3-1), your ratio increased 50% If your W-L is 2000-1000, and you win a spar (2001-1000), your ratio increased 0.05% Law of Large Numbers. More spars = less ratio change. Point being, its very difficult raise your ratio significantly the more you spar. |

Hello I noticed the new spar score system on classic recently and I got a question. I heard you cant lose points. So basically it's now the top 100 most active sparrers? I mean if you are on all day sparring there is no way people like me who spars like 5-10 times / day can ever reach even close. Am I wrong? |

Are the wins on idev getting him points on both leaderboards or do all the points go into one leaderboard?

Another clarification/report: "When I spar on iDevice, it puts me on the iDevice board. If I spar on PC, my score accumulated on iDevice transfers to the PC board."

Points should be added to the right platform/device now. Any points gained that were awarded to the wrong platform/device are stuck there.
