My idevice gst didn't even spar, the team we were going against had no one on and we had 5. Still trying to figure out how we "lost". But oh well right?

^also, GST's are recurring, so the library kinda fills quickly... wth was up with that Espiritu v Unknown spar? They sparred at least 6 times. Two were stopped midway because Unknown wasnt ready. I think the others were restarted because Espiritu had one laggy girl. Unknown ended up winning (i guess?). But then in the next round, two people in Unknown were completely frozen for 10+ seconds, but I dont think they restarted that match... wat?... And besides, isnt that what subs are for? But for the most part, i watched a lot of good spars. And I was surprised how quick they went. I was an hour late to start watching and iDevice was already half way through round 2. |

I have a GST question & a complaint ![]() Do staffs actually watch every match in the GST? In this recent GST, I have seen players complained about how staffs didn't know who won which round because they didn't keep track of the scores. Here is an example of what happened today: There was a match between (Espiritu) and (Unknown). Their score was 1-1 but apparently the staff hosting this match thought the score was 0-2 so that staff warped both teams out while the match had already gone for almost a minute. Espiritu got warped to Sister's Gertude while Unknown made it to the next round. In the video at 0:47, you can see that both teams got warped out. Then at 0:55-1:12, you can see players complaining at the left side of the screen. Why not let the match end so that people can actually see who won? Watch in 720P HD to see the words clearly at the end lol!

Yuri, you need to pay attention to the game. If this gst was planned for, then, the admins chosen to watch were planned as well. Meaning, your responsibility is to fairly keep the game going and fairly choosing who wins or not. To ask players who won is simply the dumbest thing to do since anyone can lie and its all up to the admin to decide and to let a human being to decide is probably a bad way to go. I suggest to not take a position in spectating a game if you cant even stay long enough to see who wins. It may be rude but the gst is nothing to mess around with and the people who compete practice to participate and for their guild to lose because of an admin's inability to spectate a game then they have a good reason to be mad at you. There should be either an explanation, rematch, apology, or a suspension on his part.

I feel sorry for Legends, they were in the Quarter Finals I believe against 5pa4 and they won 2-1 but the admin said that they didn't win and said it's best out of 5, as a result they lost.

Yuri isn't the only one who didn't watch In Alumni's Mixed 1st round, our admin was Scaal and when we beat them, he asked us who had won and of course the other team (or at least that scumbag Squiggles) claimed their team won over and over, and Scaal nearly gave them a free win only have one job to do after starting and that's to watch the match, not too hard anyway, I'm pretty sure the decision in the Espiritu match was to DQ Cally, or at least that's what most people I've talked to said I don't understand why the lag rule isn't changed to this:
I don't see what's wrong with just forcing the team with a laggy player to use a sub and nullifying their win, that's completely fair to both sides it doesn't make sense to me for them to say "you lose because Cally lagged" when they could have let the match play out: if Unknown wins, they win - if Espiritu wins, the admin tells them that Cally was too laggy and they force them to respar the match with a sub seems 100% fairer to the players, more sensible, and just generally better for the tournament |

I don't see why hosts who did not watch GST matches should get chosen again to host the GST next season. It should not be difficult to open a text document and jot down the score if you have trouble remembering the outcomes of some matches. Unless it's changed, hostig the GST was never mandatory for staff, so those who can't do the simplest part of their job should not be picked.

GST is a complete clusterf*ck almost every time that I've been participating in the tournament. The one time Ph8 hosted the tournament it ran as smooth as silk. Even from the very begining of this GST, the hosting of it was shambolic. Firstly Poppy warps us to the arena about 10 minutes early and tells us to wait there doing absolutely nothing for about 10 minutes till its officially time to start. After we'd won the match Poppy warped us to the winners room or whatever its called, only to find it was off-limits to us. She then tried at least 5 times to warp us there. While it was still off-limits even after I pmed her that it we weren't able to go there, after about 15 minutes of trying it finally allowed us in the room. In the next round we had a completely incompetent host who's name was Axel or something like that, he spoken really bad broken English (and that's putting it lightly). Before the start of the match I asked for our sub Ph8 to be brought in in place of Fulgore, who was one of our cores. Axel refused to even bring the sub, instead began questioning me as to why he should even warp our sub there and claimed that we weren't allowed to use our sub. After about 10 minutes of this which he claimed to be more like "3 hours", of trying to get this buffoon to let us use our sub, which is completely within the rules of the game. We somehow miraculously convinced him to allow us to use our sub. However his sheer incompetence continued as he couldn't even summon the correct sub. Eventually we just gave up with this guy and used the team we had there. In the third round Poppy to her credit had no trouble warping in our sub Ph8 and didn't argue about it either. On a better note congrats to both teams that won the tournaments, Alumni in my opinion were favourites to win mixed by a country mile. In iDev I was expecting an Espiritu or Alumni win but it was nice to see an underdog team win one of the tournaments. |

@Thellen , unknown vs espiritou was 1-1 , unknown managed to take all of their players an make a tie win vs then becouse the cally chick/ dude was unhitable , then on the last round the admin hosting decided that cally should have been dq due to her extreme delay and therefore unknown won. A member of espiritou then started rage pming me that they should have won and only cally should have been dq and not the hole team.... So I said if the team actually picked the right players instead of players that have a unfair advantage then non of it would have happened ! I don't get how people pick people like that an then still HAE the mentality set to " we should have won " but it's really anoying having him cry raging at me for 30 mins |

I understand, but what I'm saying is the admin should have done this (because this should be the rules): when he sees Cally lagging, he should wait for the match to end. If Unknown wins, you guys get the win and Cally is removed and then they must use a sub. If Espiritu wins, that win gets taken away from them and Cally is removed and they must use a sub. Either way, Cally is forced out of the tournament and your team is guaranteed to not suffer a loss. Don't you agree that it's fair that way? If not, why don't you think so? I don't understand how "IF ONE OF YOUR PLAYERS IS LAGGING YOUR WHOLE TEAM GETS DQ'd" is more fair, because it's tough to control, especially for someone on an iDevice (no wired connection) in Australia (literally over 9000 miles away from the server). ![]() yes, she's gonna delay, her touchscreen input has to travel across the ENTIRE FKN PACIFIC OCEAN if it gets out of control, she should be removed, not her entire team |
