NBA '14 Draft and Free Agency
Doubt anyone here gives a **** about the NBA, but it's worth asking. Anyone watch the '14 Draft or following the free agency this summer? A lot of names going up there, most notably LeBron. Since the Heat traded up and snagged Napier, there's a big chance he's going to return to Miami with Allen, since Allen is saying he wants to play wherever James ends up. Carmelo's also been interested in playing with him, but the Heat's salary cap doesn't allow for it. His options are still open though, would be interesting to see where he takes his talent. As for the draft, I really wished Joel Embiid would have been healthy enough to be considered a reliable pick. I'm a Cavs fan (one of a kind) and Embiid would have strengthened that inside for such a strong defensive and offensive core with Kyrie and Waiters. They got a strong 3 forward in Wiggins though, so those three could prove to make a strong small offensive core too if Varejao shows improvement. There was a strong possibility of James and Carmelo signing with the Cavaliers through some intensive trading with Boston, but they chose Wiggins over Parker so it's unlikely. Looking forward to the '14-'15 season, a lot of new talent introduced into the league. |

He should go to Chicago, but I think he'll probably pick the Lakers if he goes anywhere. He reached out to Gasol today about joining up with the Knicks. I'm more interested to see where LeBron ends up, because the Rockets quit perusing him and are going after 'Melo. His agent met with the Suns, Mavericks, and Cavaliers today, and I can't really picture him picking those teams over Miami. |

I hope Melo ends up going to Chicago. Carmelo doesn't want money as much as he wants to WIN. D.Rose, Carmelo, Joakim Noah, jimmy butler and Taj Gibson will be a force to be reckoned with if it ends up going that way. Carmelo could help Chicago secure it's 7th title. Lebron may end up going back to the Cavaliers. Since he went free agent along with Bosh and Wade if he decides to come back he will be taking a HUGE pay cut. |

All of the superstars are taking paycuts, with a **** ton on money now coming from endorsements, they're looking to win instead of get paid. LeBron is probably going back to Miami since they courted him by drafting Napier, and Miami will probably re-sign Wade and Bosh too, since they're willing to take paycuts if LeBron signs back. Even though I'm a Cavs fan, I can't really see James coming back to Cleveland anymore. The Cavs could drop Waiters, have Wiggins at 2 and James at 3, but I doubt Kyrie and Wiggins are enough to court him back. I doubt he cares about fixing his reputation in Cleveland, and the team is still raw, young talent that isn't championship-ready just yet. Waiting to see what happens to Melo, seems evenly split between Chicago, LAL and New York FWIS. If he signs with the Bulls, they could have a killer team who could probably seed #1 in the East. |

Lebron won't leave miami specially after going into a partnership with David beckham for the new MLS team in Miami. Wade and bosh will take paycuts and pat Riley is going after gasol. Melo will probably pick the bulls since it's less competition in the east and they already have the best defense in the conference.

Phil Johnson still has the max contract offer he can throw in if he gets desperate but I doubt Melo even wants it. Even if LeBron signs back with Miami, they just don't feel championship caliber anymore and they definitely won't be in the long-run unless Napier shows up to all of James' expectations. There's also still the wild card of Phoenix, they're bound to run off with a marquee agent or two. They have the cap space and decent young talent to sign both James and Melo if they wanted to, and would still have cap space to sign and trade for more. If those two wanted to play together, even though it's unlikely, it could happen at PHX. If it does, hard bandwagon inc |

http://www.lakersnation.com/nba-free...es/2014/07/06/ If this happens, that'd be pretty cool, but then I'm going to be a bandwagoner. Probably gonna need to pick up a Kyrie jersey. |

NBA '14 Draft and Free Agency
If Lebron goes back I can see the Cavs doing pretty well. Kyrie and Lebron would be a pretty strong force. The reason I want Carmelo to go to the Bulls is because our offense is pretty mediocre honestly. It's not terrible but it needs improvement. Getting Crieghton's star Doug McDermott was a huge step in the right direction.

Bulls are definitely the best fit for him, they already have the greatest defense in the East and could use some help offensively. Could be a killer team.

God dammit LeBron don't make me look like a LeBron bandwagoner please **** Ever since the '06 Finals I've liked the Heat because of Wade, now since I've been a Cavs fan after Kyrie was drafted in '11, now LeBron's like "ukno I may come back"
