That's one shiny cookie:o

I think the problem is that you shaded it as if it was a sphere. You get 1000 points for successfully portraying a lightsource, but your cookie is defective.

Here's a half-assed edit. I used to lightsource not only to define the shape, but give it texture. You can study items in real life, or images to get an idea how light reflects off of the object. I also gave the cookie a slight tilt backwards.

All that is done using just different shades of brown.

Also there isn't a need for so many different shades of colors. Doing so gives objects a shine. I stuck to just three on this edit, not counting chocolate chips, which I never touched.

I think your work is actually a really good start! I would definitely take the tips yogurt said :p the worms are pretty cute and the space ship and cookie are my favorite, the astronaut is a pretty good start as well, :p improvement comes with time, and practice. I would recommend looking at other graphics threads and reading the cc given to other peoples work, because that's what personally helped me to try and avoid those issues.  

Thank you for all of your tips! I will keep on practicing to be better, so hopefully in the future I can post some pretty good art!  

I should also mention you shouldn't be afraid to make your colors dark when you shade. Your shading is rather unnoticeable.
