For my opinion, this years as boring (probably more) then last.
Last years was fun (not the ghosts, that was hard and boring, but how trick or treat NPC's, thats fun)
But this years is boring as hell. I enter someones house get candy, i can only get like 300 because i keep entering the same peoples houses. if they changed the ghost thing from last year (keep how u spend your candy on the npcs) then that would be better.

Rule that needs to be implemented next year: You can only collect candy as long as you have a candy bowl in your own house and your house is open. If your last bowl runs out of candy, or you close your house is closed, you will no longer be able to collect candy.

Why? Not everyone can afford a second bowl after their first free one. Forcing people to pay to participate in a non-essential part of the contest that they aren't even required to participate seems weird.

I called it quits after going at it for several hours, just wasn't fun to me. I can see how the majority of the community probably enjoys this, because I know most don't care about how enjoyable or fun the competition is, but rather how easy it is for them to personally obtain a prize. It's an extremely easy event, and that's what people like.

I'm not completely against timesink competitions, but they at least have to have a skill margin to interest me. I noticed after 3 straight hours of doing it with people around me on the leaderboard that literally all of us increased our candy total by nearly the exact same amount, give or take 10 candy. It's really just whoever does it that longest, whereas the ghosts at least incorporated some form of strategy and made it possible to win even if you aren't online for 18 hours a day. Just not my thing, but I'm sure everyone else loves it.

The egg hunt had some RNG and luck involved, which made it kind of fun and exciting. It also required you to do a lot of different things, and you could collaborate with players through trading, etc. This one just felt like a glorified code shop/maze exhibit, which are some of the worst parts of Graal anyway.

I also don't understand why the content encourages leaving and entering houses as fast as possible, but no one removed the "You can't enter another house so soon!" restriction. Seems kind of contradictory of the whole contest and was really just annoying.  

Hey guys. I've figured out two things to make the candy hunt a little easier and more productive. First, don't follow the mob around tapping randoms. Use your friends list to enter houses. It's faster and you can avoid tapping the same houses more than once for candy. Second, if you press the 'out' button, the annoying "you must wait to enter another house" message does not hinder you.

I definitely agree with this. Just by going to the top givers, I was able to find like 2 or 3 houses that has amazing decorations. One that I specifically remember was a house using Christmas trees all over his house, it was amazing! Then I somehow into someone's guild house by invite and their house was literally decorated at every corner of the house.

I wish graal would showcase some of these houses to people to give inspiration and show their hard work.

I ran a monthly contest for a year through my guild - House of the Month.
Gave away a gold gralat every month to the winner, along with a statue.
This concept has great potential - after the first few months, the participation was awesome! I had 25 participants almost every month for a variety of conceptual themes, and the creativity was great!  

I rather like this event. Even though some may say it's only appealing to people because it involves no competition, I disagree. Different people enjoy different things. I enjoy a good competition, but I also enjoy this. Trying to find new people whose house you haven't already entered, decorating your house to show off to trick-or-treaters, and the leaderboard system. All of this stuff is pretty cool in my opinion. It's a nice change of pace from the previous years.

I agree with thallen on this, The competition isnt as great this year, now its depending on who doesnt sleep and who does.

I think its pretty cool, ive seen some amazing house designs, some stuff that is just too badass to comprehend that someone actually made it with furniture lol.

If people making mazes with candy after you grab all bushes with dimmed lights and alot of rain is amazing. Then you must be overwhelmed.

For christmas we better get a massive snowstorm and you have to kill Frozen Zorbi/baddy's (infused together) that drop tokens and let you buy presents and prizes.  

The competition does not need much skill it just requires one guy to be on 24h a day getting candy fast

after a while it just gets boring entering and entering houses even if you have no idea what kind of prizes their are after graaloween when you trade in your candy

Club crypt better be good this year
