Oh wow, I didn't realize you had to have the shovel equipped. I saw several people stuck at this point. Very good to know.

I had to figure that out myself by backtracking entirely.  

I think that the bat morph is a awesome theing if your into vampires, or if you are trying to make yourself look cool.
