Push Notifications are live!

Howdy!

After a lot of work, we've gotten Push Notifications working on Ol'West! Push notifications work on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. This allows players to receive messages as a notification on their device while their offline, like on other servers.

As you all know, on Ol'West we like to stand out from the rest! In order to do so with Push Notifications, lets use them for everything! Currently I have added push notifications to the Garden furniture item. When your crops are ready to be harvested, you will now get a notification!

I plan to add notifications to when we have a news update as well.

Have you got some idea on how we can use Push Notifications to our advantage on Ol'West? Let me know

Possibly having a button for gangs when they're being attacked which allows the leader to send a message to all of his/her offline gang members? For example: If Obsidian's gang is being attacked and needs help the leader can push a button on the gang system that sends a notification to all members saying "Quick! Your gang needs assistance!"

Just a handy tool. Stands out from other servers as well.

I don't see a option to toggle it in or off nor do I see it working on mine I just planted some stuff so I'm waiting to see if I get a notification, ALSO I don't do towering and stuff but u should get a notification when it gang takes over a tower, so then more people would see that and jump on to help, just an idea

Tested it out as well and had the same results.

@ the gang idea. This would be extremely annoying if two gangs were taking over the same base over and over. Which is why I said "the leader would press a button to send a notification out."

The button can only be pressed once every 30 minutes or even every hour to prevent the leader from spamming.

Because how would you get a notification on PC? (Facebook)

EDIT: Actually, they can be used as regular FB notifications. (FB players only.)

Yes, perfect. I will elaborate on this.

Should we make another Options Category in their profile for Push Notifications? I removed the Push Notifications button completely, because I felt that it was pointless to toggle them in-game and in your phone's settings app. If you want to turn push notifications off completely, do it like any other game and change it in:

Settings > Notifications > GraalOnline Ol'West > Allow Notifications

If we add another options category for push notifications, we could add these:

Recieve Notifications when your Gang takes over a base.
Recieve Notifications when your Gang's Base is taken over by another gang.
Recieve Notifications when your garden plants are ready to be harvested.
Recieve Notifications when you're offline and a player messages you.
Recieve Notifications for when the news is updated.
