Public House List

Howdy!

I was looking around Ol'West, and I remembered this idea from a game called Club Penguin where you could look at a map or list and there would be a list of player houses that are open to the public. The player would then be able to enter whichever one of these houses that they want, view the owner's profile, or send them a message.

What do you guys think? Would this be a good addition to Ol'West? Could we perhaps make this even better? Let me know what you think below!

Another idea I had was rating houses with a 5-star rating system. You could sort the public houses by most popular or something? :o

! You could also sometime in the future host a best house event, where a few admins vote on which house they like the most out of a selected few that have got to the finals. The top 3 or 5 houses would receive a big trophy furniture item for their house and also a nice hat or something :p

Ohh yes! Club Penguin brings back a lot of memories haha. This would be a very nice feature for Ol' West.

Also loving the 5-Star idea! Would encourage players to make creative houses.

Yes Yes it would....

Maybe even if you hosted events and had admins rate house could give the winner horse shoes.

So maybe be spending 150k on my house wont be entirely
pointless....

P.S. But were gonna need furniture rotation or these houses will get really boreing...

Edit: to rate make it were you have to have over 100 or 200 hours to prevent alternate accounts and beginers just giving 0

It would be cool, yeah. But it'd be even better with custom house templates and the ability to, say, make your house into a restaurant or a general store or something along those lines.

Its a good idea aint gonna complain on that, but how often to these things get used tbh? Is it really worht the time scripting it thats what i think. But yeah its a good idea

Small features like this arent supposed to be used constantly. (They might! Who knows?) These are just tweaks for the game to bring more fun to the players.

Perhaps the ability to give access to certain players for the ability to enter your house. If you give them access, they can enter your house whenever you want even if you are off, etc. Also perhaps another ability to give access to players to edit your house. They can move furniture, add furniture( that you have in the house inventory), or be able to remove them( it goes back to the house inventory. They WONT be able to sell your furniture or take your crops. This can let close friends help decorate eachother's houses. Your furniture inventory and the other player's house inventories will be seperate, meaning no one can steal your furniture.

Oh no, it's worth it. There's a lot we can do with this, such as house competitions.

That's planned already, and part of the house revamp I'm going to do. I'll be reprogramming the house + guild house system from the bottom up, introducing any and all features that have ever been wanted. Such as saving house layouts so you can quickly change your house to different saved styles, similar to character slots, but "House Slots" or something :p. Giving rights to others for them to move your furniture, allowing an entire gang access to the gang house, there's lots. I'll make a thread later for us to brainstorm ideas for the house revamp.

Also, Gang Houses should be bought with GP (Gang Point) right? I think it'd be a nice thing to spend some GP on. We should have a Gang Flag Furniture item for the gang shop. Once put in your house and grabbed itll put your gang logo on the flag! (I'll put this in the Gang Points thread as well.)

Also, Gang Houses should be bought with GP (Gang Point) right? I think it'd be a nice thing to spend some GP on. We should have a Gang Flag Furniture item for the gang shop. Once put in your house and grabbed itll put your gang logo on the flag! (I'll put this in the Gang Points thread as well.)
