HTML Leaderboard Help?

I am working on a something called leaderboard. What I want is that when I open the link it automatically sets to the descending order based on the total score points. I think it's fairly possible do to, but I don't know anything about HTML and I am struggling with this.

Somebody sent me a link to jquery stuff. Don't even, dude.
jquery leaderboard would definitely help me out, but it's too advanced for me right now. I need a simple and quick solution.

You wouldn't be able to do this with either CSS or HTML. You could try using JavaScript, then advance onto JQuery.
Another solution would be to use PHP, but you would constantly need to refresh the website to see the new stuff.

dude it's killing me rn. It's like I have $10,000 plug ins right next to me and I don't know how to use them.
People sent me (I asked in Yahoo Answers) all these java script codes, php, css stuff I have no idea what to do with it.

Post them here? Maybe I could tell you what to do with them.

Stick the data in a SQL server and let it do the sorting for you. Otherwise you will have to write your own sorting algorithm.

Not even close. JQuery is a clientside Javascript library that makes it easier to create code that can run on the web browser. SQL is a server-side database software that allows one to store information in a database and retrieve it. In SQL, you can use various commands to retrieve data in a table in a certain order, thus making it easier.
