he has to be 35? Let's get him in a position with not such ageist limits. I support waka flocka for president, just sounds awesome. What could happen? The worst is mass general population imprisonment. I don't think flocks would do that. And I doubt he'd stop me from growing a garden and collecting rain water, which the governmet I place already has limited garden production and banned water collection ( not as much on ground wells, though) in most states.

What's stupid about it? It gives you enough time to have some political leadership experience before being eligible to become the president. I don't see anything stupid about that.

Honestly I prefer a few of the current Republic candidates over anyone in the Democratic party right now. Both sides look grim for the next election though as is.

Highly disagree because I don't think 'political leadership' is or should be considered necessary for the presidency.

Idk I think that's kinda a strawman put out by the GOP. A very small minority might, but a lot of people who vote for her based on her gender will likely be doing so, not just blindly because she is a woman, but because she plans to implement certain policies that support women. It's like how in 2008/12 lots of African Americans voted for Obama. They didn't just do it because he was black; they would have voted democratic anyways because democrats tend to better meet their objectives in society.

What we need is a new election system, as this one is slowly becoming capitalistic in a sense.  

I wouldn't mind Hillary becoming president and the fact that she is a woman and gives something for little girls to look up to is great in my eyes. Also not republican > republican

The republican party is probably going to crumble soon if they don't stop alienating every demographic except rich white males. They are increasingly becoming like neo-confederates, and the fact that they have let in so many religious radicals is going to hurt them in the long run because they have started to dictate the republican agenda. Back when Abraham Lincoln was a republican, the entire party was way different than it is now. It's starting to go in the opposite direction because it has mostly been hijacked by people who only represent and fight for certain types of people, not everyone.

It's not becoming capitalistic, it is capitalistic. Politicians have to raise money for their campaigns, which is provided partly by ordinary people, but mostly by smaller companies and large corporations. However much they raise is what they get to spend on ads, and then they carpet-bomb smaller communities with them. Unfortunately, a lot of people vote for whoever advertises the most without knowing who they actually are or what they stand for. (Especially if it's for jobs like Mayor, City Commissioner, Comptroller, Judge, Sheriff, etc.) And that leads to a good deal of people getting elected who often don't represent the needs of their citizens very well.

Elections are basically bought now, ever since the Supreme Court made their decision in the Citizens United case to allow companies to spend unlimited amounts of money on financing campaigns, and it has led to a plethora of major issues.

It's not just starting, that shift happened a long time ago.

Lincolns republicans turned Democrats after the depression thx to FDR. After the black community turned Democrat thx to FDR, a lot of the old democrats(southern whites) turned republicans. When L. Johnson got the civil rights act passed he finished what FDR started by turning the last remaining southern whites into republicans.


Hint: Democrats were pro small government during FDR's time, but the depression allowed FDR to expand(big government) the government and provide for the states/people in need(social programs). The republicans were pro big government, but chose not to help the states because they wanted the states to figure it by themselves(didn't work out quite well)


Obviously a lil more complicated than this, but pretty much in a nutshell.
