do you need to be good in all fields to run a server?

I heard from some developer that to run a server you need to be good in all fields

I am pretty good at keeping things together and managing a team , I can create some levels, you can see my latest work on un it is a little town.
I also plan on learning some graal script.

Do I have to be good at all the other fields like ganis and gfx to run a server?

Not necessarily, since your staffs will do all that for you, but you do need some knowledge on those things, especially scripting, since you're the manager of the server, and you will need to fix scripts and stuff in case some one messed up. A manager without the knowledge of GS2 is pretty much a useless one. But, be sure to not hire 100 GPs on your server while you barely have 1 or 2 developers, because you don't need that much GPs on a server that barely has any players.

Though, you will need knowledge on RC, like giving rights, server ops, and hiring.
(Idk if this is all you need to be a manager since I've never been a manager myself)

But managers of servers mainly does all the scripting so you'd need that skill.

Websites. Highly suggest the tutorial site Fp4 made, or you can learn it by experience.

If you intend on contributing towards the server's development, you need to be able to create the content you're intending to contribute. If you intend on managing the server's team, you need to be able to communicate well with your members, manage the development workflow and deal with staff issues.

Managing a team is the hard part, trust me.

That's not saying much when there's 5 managers

Calling him the best would have more meaning

But now I can say MD is one of the top managers in iGraal.

Don't know if xor can't script, but he didn't really need too since he's had trustworthy scripters.
