Crafting V2
Idk if this is a version 2, but I can tell Alpho is working on it again due to all the changes outside of it, plus I hope this goes a lot smoother then the first time it was released, and I'm very excited for it to be re-released, and hopefully we will be able to craft more things then we were able to the first time it released. Hello. I have received explicit approval from Hoyt, the Development Admin, that I am allowed to announce to you all that I am working on an updated version of the Crafting System. Yes, I started production today on an updated Crafting System. I have already fixed the problems that occurred from the last reiteration of the Crafting System, and I have already started implementing new features. I also removed the need for a "recipe" to craft something. For example, when the Crafting was available to the public before, if you wanted to craft a Bomb, you needed to own the Bomb Recipe to do this. Now, all you need to know is the way to arrange the items and if you have that and the necessary items, then you can craft it. The only downside with this is that the recipes aren't given away publicly, at least not all of them, so you won't know how to make everything. Once an item is made, the recipe is saved in your Recipes list, though, so you don't have to remember how to make everything. I was going to make a thread about this, but since you already have we can just use this. If there are any requests as to what should be added with the new version of the Crafting System, please let me know! I have already started implementing EXP and Level Requirements throughout the crafting system, so that you gain EXP with every item crafted. Please detail every aspect of your idea so that, if it's approved, it can be added exactly how you imagine it

Maybe that you can use guns to craft better guns? Or have a gun and a few items and make a gun with a bayonet so you can melee people?

And a suggestion I really hope you take into consideration- steampunk engineering. Not necessarily as this big complex alternative crafting, but rather a theme for a good amount of craftable items. |

Steampunk is definitely something I want to introduce throughout the server, as I think it would fit our theme very well, and also widen our theme so that we can introduce different things like steam powered machines and such. I think that's a great idea, and I definitely will work on this. Feel free to give more ideas. |

Also, different ammo types Bullets (used in rifles and pistols) - Cartridges (-1 damage, cheap to make with common materials) - Tin bullets (normal damage, moderate cost to make with common materials) - Lead bullets (normal bullets, expensive to make with common materials) - Silver bullets (triple damage to npcs, -2 damage, cheap to make with slightly rare materials) - Steamjet pellets (tiny steam propelled canisters, +1 damage, very expensive and time consuming to make) Shells (used in shotguns) - Buckshot (normal) - Birdshot (-1 damage, +3 pellets per shot and wider spread) - Flechette (+1 damage, 1/2 pellets per shot and tighter spread) - Slug (+2 damage, single pellet shot with very tight spread) Arrows (used in bows and thrown weapons) - pointy stick (-1 damage, quick and cheap) - normal arrow (normal) - fire arrow (fire damage over time) - dynamite arrow (explosive) - silver arrow (variant of silver bullets) Ether (used in magic/misc weapons) Lightning (normal) Fire (fire damage over time) Water (faster firing speed, -1 damage) Earth (slower firing speed, +1 damage) Air (higher spread, spreadshot (like shotgun) and -2 damage) Players who don't have the time to craft ammo will need to buy it from an auction house, where they fill a buy order and a random seller is selected to have their product sold. |
