He means evidence provided to the players. Of course evidence is needed for a ban, but if you were banned you either did something bad, or didn't. Not a GPs job to remind you.

Some bans are very easy to provide evidence for. Inappropriate names, statuses, pm histories, etc. are able to be logged. When it comes to things like that, staff almost always have evidence to back it up. However, when it comes to situations like hacking, purposefully blocking paths, etc. the staff members have no way of logging what they player is doing (at least they didn't when I was staff). The GP use their best judgement and take action that way. Usually they will provide a small explanation of what was happening and why the player deserved the ban in the account log. When players appeal bans, the person in charge of appeals will look through the player's log and see what the issue was. More times than not the person in charge of appeals will believe the GP over the player, so if a reason for the ban was given and it sounds believable then the player will most likely remain banned.

If I was banned for hacking when I wasn't and if they have no proof that I was hacking except what a 12 year old staff member faking to be 20 says and they rather believe the gp instead of the player that rolls in the dough for unixmads bread.... I would be pissed. Especially since hacking is basically the longest ban to wait 3 months ... Unlike the other types of bans for example harrassment that there's evidence for and players are only banned for a week if that.

Been banned since november, i asked for evidence.

The staff have to apply for the position and undergo an interview, and most of the time the bans are legit. It only seems like there's more mistakes because either 1.) the banned player isn't giving listeners the full story, or 2.) the banned player likes making a big deal about a small issue and posts about it on the forums so everyone can have another reason to hate the staff. So if I were the person that appeals bans, I would believe the staff over the players any day. If the players feel like they can do a better job then by all means go ahead and apply.

While I do think a better system for providing evidence is necessary, it's not nearly as big a problem as people are making it out to be.  

Thing is though, as Brick stated there isn't really evidence for hacking or cheating.
And I know one thing, I'm pretty sure players know when someones vpning or speedhacking better than the majority of GP's.
Trust me on that. I'm pretty sure if a certain GP watched someone like zid sparring they wouldn't be too hesitant to ban him for speedhacking.

If staff can look over the evidence to double check the ban, it'll be there and it couldn't be that hard to show the players.

thing is if they had to provided evidence few people would actualy be banned.
I tried making a buddist symbol in my house but I was banned for making a swastika.
tried to apeal by telling them theirs something called a manji but they didn't give a crap

I got falsely banned before WHEN I WAS OFFLINE and I sent 4 tickets and they said my ban won't be lifted, I sent a 5th ticket saying that I will buy gralat packs when I'm unbanned and my ban was lifted.
In early 2014, I was defending Sardon's and apparently I triggered a boost alert and some admin literally popped up and said "i thought u were boosting", I didn't get warned or banned but it annoys me that admins can be that inexperienced

These alerts shouldn't be enough to ban a player by themselves, unless they are triggered frequently and repeatedly. Admins should only use this as the first hint that something is going on, and - I expect - in 90% of cases its purely coincidental. Therefore, they shouldn't be enough to ban a player itself.
More detailed ban reports should be available as the generic reasoning messages are too vague most of the time.

Anyway, I have never been banned - that I can remember - so I can only comment on the situations I have witnessed, such as Albie's. I hope it is overturned ASAP.  

I can't relate to this because the 1-2 times I was banned for no reason, the situation got resolved in under 48 hours. Keep in mind I have an extensive ban history (all deserved). Yog or CM I suggest you have a read, it's pretty funny stuff.

i find it kinda silly that they would allowed bribery.

Have you shared your account with anyone else? Either way, I would suggest submitting a ticket to appeal.
