Elaboration; classic as a game strives to maintain a good balance of players, as in you can't be above a noob player in stats or items, just skill(while a "pro" account can have 200 arrows and/or upgraded bombs, those are fairly minut as you drops bombs and arrows when you die.) this would unbalance it in multiple ways, seeing as it would require a lot of questing to ease into the range where you could handle a pro player power vs. Power. Besides the fact of the time limits, a time limit shouldn't have to be as a last ditch attempt to make something possible in my opinion. It would add another option to the sword-bomb-arrow combat system(I don't include lantern because it is very limited.) which, if classic was looking for one, it already would have one. This would be far too game-changing of a morph to fit in with what classic(from my perspective) has been going for. |

Well PvP is supposed to be an endgame thing for when you have collected all the heras and gotten the lizard sword and shield but sure whatever.... I still say the ability to morph into baddies would be a fun addition to combat. I mean, as long as it doesn't get too crazy. I was originally going to just say something like that but no usually people claim that it isn't well thought out when I pitch simple ideas.

Take a good look at the lizardons in Destiny. Does that look like something I could just "customize" as? Plus we might be getting even more baddies in the future. We already have gotten spiders, crabs and lizardons, there is definitely a lot that can be done with just the variety of foes alone.

I'll say it again, that just doesn't look like where classic is going and the current direction. Though that's from my perspective, who knows, we could have twenty hearts by tomorrow. But I doubt it. |

We can argue which is better between "high barrier to entry" and "no barrier to entry" all day, they both have their own set of pro's and con's. It depends what the game you're designing is going for. While I see/respect your reasoning for why the no barrier to entry system has problems, there were problems with the high barrier to entry as well, from a player friendly perspective. |
