I don't think it should just be a hearthstone remake. I mean it's nice to take ideas from it, but I don't think it should be the same game with a different skin. It needs something that'll make it stand out from other card games. I'm still trying to think of what that might be though. Perhaps a speed stat and different types of attacks, such as bomb, sword, and arrow with varying levels of accuracy and damage. I don't know yet.

I agree. My main concern with this is that it would end up turning out to be too similar to Hearthstone.

I was thinking of ways that guilds could somehow be implemented. I had a few ideas that I'll share tomorrow.

As it is now, I think we shouldn't borrow anything more from Hearthstone. We're adapting so much from it already (mana system, attack and health system, etc.)

I think the main thing to be avoided to prevent this from becoming too similar to Hearthstone is not including heroes.

This is true, I've mainly been making cards that work with the current format and can be easily modified if needed to. I assume battling will be very similar to Hearthstone, but win conditions still need to be a thing.

A few things to work out first:
1. Deck size. How many cards allowed in a deck? 60? 50?
2. Battling. Should Players (minions) need to wait a turn before they can attack? Should Charge and Taunt even be a thing?
3. Classes. Should these mean anything?
4. Hero cards. Should they exist?
5. Should this just basically be Hearthstone with a few changes? What can we do to make it more unique or original?
6. Should a Player take damage when it attacks like in Hearthstone?

1. 30-45
2. Wait a turn, add cards that can "charge" and "taunt" come up with new names though
3. Yes, different abilities = different meta = everyone doing something different
4. Yes
5. Try different ideas see if they work
6. Yes  

Field cards anyone?

We got Destiny, MoD, Winter, Summer, Fall.

Or it could just be used as Locations or something. Implementing all the towns/islands, buildings and such with effects that can relate to its ingame area. Such as Castle could have the effect of an increase bees attack or something; Snowtown could have the effect of a more delay on attacks or evade percentage. Though this is only if this card game is complex.  

The "hero card" could be a guild area flag like "MoD" or "SwampTown" so the hands is basically towing... But with cards

It's best something that should be made for fun, and I think people are turning it into something way too serious. Making an original card game that is accessible and balanced is extremely hard and time-consuming and I don't think anyone here has the time or skill to do that.

I think it was something that was much better as a concept when people were just making funny cards. Having new graphics doesn't mean it needs to be turned into an actual game.  

Hearthstone is a fairly simple game to learn on its own. Sure it's difficult to master but nearly any competitive or strategic game is. I don't mind having his be extremely similar to Hearthstone, in fact I really like the flag/hero idea Coco came up with. My only concern is that this will just be a reskin of Hearthstone in the end. This will probably never get anywhere big, but even Blueh didn't want the Graalians card game being exactly like Yu-Gi-Oh!, and it's merely just a personal preference.

I'm honestly not that concerned with gameplay and such, the original cards I made were simply for fun, and Coco's templates just make that process even more fun! I think it's just nice to have a few ground rules so things aren't all over the place, because then the idea of having fun with this would become very messy and obscure.  

Who cares if it's just a reskin of Hearthstone? It's for fun, and hearthstone already did all the work of setting up the rules.

It's mainly just a personal preference. Again, I won't mind if it ends up like that.

Here is a glossary for some words/terms:
Boast = Taunt
Disconnection = Deathrattle
Greetings = Battlecry

Any ideas for other basic Hearthstone abilities (I think Furry is a thing) or some better names (mine aren't the best, I know) are appreciated.  

Maybe summoner cards could be well known guild leaders (I don't really know any) and they summon well known guild members. Maybe they could do double attack or health of their tower that they mostly attacked is on the field?  

Would be cool if someone like coco take card requests so we can show it off in our status or something

That's completely up to Coco if she wants to do that. Right now the Summons I'm making are based off of Graal characters/some friends/well-known players.
