Change Button Colors
I've been wondering since the buttons on our screen (iDev) changes colors from green to blue depending on the season, what if we can change the colors to our own preference? For example, I'd like to change the buttons to a onyx color instead of the usual green. This is a very small feature and a simple suggestion.

"very small and simple" You are talking about the ui... and enabling customization for it. Would be cool though and it's potential could be boosted even further by allowing people to buy UI skins. |

This would be easy if every item didnt have its own button image. But they do. It would be simpler if there were a single button image, and the appropriate icon is laid over it. Then you'd only be recoloring one image, not several hundred. |

Every icon does have its own image with the button in the image, or did at least. For whatever reason that is how Stefan first did the original UI and all the staff followed suit. It went on like this for years, so there's something like 500+ icons like that.

There are some things whose button is an icon laid over a blank button; But a lot of items have their own button images; one blue, one green. |

Anyone know which folder the arrow keys, chat, map, grab, and sword button image files are? They don't seem to be in the same folder as the others for me

This is a similar problem all across the server scripts. I've recently had to go through 100+ scripts for all the pets and replace them to use a base class script instead of their own copy/pasted version of the same script. If there was a bug with the pets, I couldn't fix it because I would have to make the change to every single pet script. However I had to finally break down and do it because of necessities of needing to make some fundamental changes to pets and there was no other way to do it. There are lots of instances like this that come up when you're working on the server and it makes development a massive pain in the ass. |

Classic wasnt developed for the stuff everyones suggesting so it takes long to do but when they do work on it people complain about slow development so thats somewhat of the reason they dont make noticable but small additions
