Basically all of this ****e is around you for you to expect it to come soon(keeps you playing)then 5years down the line you can go into that cave/gate/door/tent to kill a baddy and get 300gralats and maybe a hat if you're lucky.

It's where you got some item for the Zol's Sword quest (lvl3 sword) in 2004. Obsidian Shaft, maybe? I cannot remember what's inside the caves. Maybe a magic alter for the magic system nobody used and part of Tyhm's quest.

This is what the walkthrough I made back in the day had to say about it:

Once you have defeated Kull's Fort and have the level 2 hammer, you can go to the Gnome Mines Blacksmith and he will upgrade your shovel to one that can dig through snow. After you do this, go through Fox's Cave to get to Sylphia. By a tree there is a mark of sparkling soil. Dig the soil and you can get the Obsidian Shaft.

I.e. It used to be part of the route from Fox's Cave system to Sylphia. Presently, it's there pretty much just because it was one of my favorite levels.

those days when you can glitch into those areas ;-;

The good ol bomb glitching days were my favorite. It was considered a skill to be able to glitch until they added the gralat lock mechanism and other crap that made it less fun.

I don't know, but whenever I'm warped there, I always end up in the rocks and can't move to touch the thing.

U can still glitch over there. U can't actually go inside the caves tho

Graal has a bug that occurs uncommonly when entering GMAPs. The player will see themself on the GMAP, but the game will think they are still in the previous level. If you leave the GMAP while bugged one of two things can happen: you'll be warped to the x,y coords of where you exited the GMAP and into the level you where bugged in; or you will be warped to the same x,y coords but on the GMAP (top-left corner of the map) instead of in the bugged level.
