If anyone thinks the Presidential Election means ****, and that corporate greed isn't real, is blind as ****.

Not like a video is gonna change **** though.

Sorry but the Presidential Election does mean quite a bit. This "the president doesn't really matter" attitude just stems from people realizing that there are other important elected officials beside the president. Saying that the election, or who the president is doesn't matter screams a lack of understanding of American government.

Yet I could say the same thing. Not understanding that Presidential election is a tactic to make us feel like we have a choice in what goes on in our country, when there's so much going on ****ing us all over, and yet we can't do anything about that, screams a lack of understanding of the American Government.

Have you ever even voted? Or tried talking to any elected official, or, hell, even someone running for some office? I'd say you're at least half right, people who don't participate in the democratic system have no choice as to what goes on in our country.

The presidential election isn't a "tactic" used to make us feel like we have a choice, its the only method thats been used for electing our president for the past 2 centuries, long before US politics was a big money game. Maybe if some people would get off their ass and actually try to make a change (starting by actually registering to vote perhaps? I'm amazed by the amount of people that complain about **** and aren't even a registered voter) then they wouldn't feel like they have no control over what goes on.

I have been to multiple polls, but this is the first year I can legally vote. I'm going to vote for a democratic candidate, but I feel like it's a complete waste of time since I live in a primarily republican state. So it's not like my candidate is going to get any delegates anyways. But I'm hoping that keeping the mentality of getting out to vote regardless will encourage others. But my attempts may be in vain. Who knows.
