Doesnt mean it cant be added , after all in all its way of uses the main objective should be the fun  

This must be basic programming, there are harder things out there... problem is, this could be dirty laggy for people abusing them I believe so

Scripting moving objects is actually pretty straightfoward. I can't speak for damaging items.

The scripts already exist though.  

These guys had to check where the player was in relation to where they were in order to move, stop, where they were positioned, and where the limit on their movement was... Their actions are not just moving?

You can set npcs to stop when hitting a wall.  

It would be sweet if they could be placed as furniture. I would love to see it  

This would be pretty cool but I understand if it's too bothersome to implement
