Because if they are speaking (insert language here) and you don't know what country they are from, you look at their flag, find their language and go on google translate.

Maybe not-so-unique, but my nationality does not match my location.
I get a lot of people assuming otherwise.

I do understand why we can't change our flags, but why can't we have the option to hide them?

Layal doesn't even have it in her status, she never does. Neither do I, so?
Those arabs just heard that shes gay from SOMEWHERE or from the guild she joined ages ago that was like some LGBT thing (even though shes not in there anymore) and still harass her.

Pretty sure layal isn't the only one this has been happening to though

Layal isn't really the pker or sparrer shes a more a socializing-type of person, I guess so I don't think you get what kinda position shes in. It would take an aspect of the game away for her, a major one.

I'm sorry that people like that are bothering you, but if I were you I wouldn't really take them seriously since the fact that they bother people for their sexuality in 2016 does the talking for them

Everyone makes it seem like its the dumbest question when it really isnt, using sarcastic/obvious answers without giving an explanation.  

To see if something is hiding you can use the visible flag.

Thank you, I asked why can't we hide it and everyone responded like I just wrote a paragraph about how I get bullied everyday when 1-not true that doesn't happen often 2-my friend Vici is the one who mention my personal reason, anyway I asked that because under the privacy option we can hide our gralats and hours, gralats don't seem that important but that's off topic, while we can't hide our flags.

tl;dr : I didn't ask because I get bullied now stop acting like I did lol  

Because people cheat at the game using VPNS (lagging themselves and whatnot intentionally in spars/pk/gst) so they thought it would be good to show flags and make them easier to catch/ban.

There might be social aspects as why they changed as well, so people can know who their talking to/where they're from .etc
