How dare people want to have a guild so that socializing in game is easier than running over the place and not using guild chat. Shouldn't be promoted but they aren't taking away from gameplay because classic is an open world non story game, not a story-line game. |

It would help new players who want to make their guild known, if you read what i said the list would work like this. If you are on the top 50 for SEASONAL active or popular guilds, you CANT APPEAR on weekly and daily. therefore the weekly and daily active guilds would be all new unknown guilds that are trying to get active. and i said fine, don't catagorize the guilds. just make guilds in general. People just enjoy ****ting on ideas because they can't relate. its funny how the people who don't care either 1. aren't guild leaders or 2. own a guild thats already successful |

so you want a "guild popularity leaderboard" that ranks guilds that have been clicked on the most ... ? |

or you could look at the screen and see what guilds exist by looking at peoples guild tags with your eyes

There's no way to define popularity , popularity is mostly opinion based and can be extremely bias at times. Popularity usually comes from people opinions and thoughts on certain guilds. I think defining popular social guilds and arrange them in order of 50 ( which would also always be shifting i presume ) will be too hard and pointless to do. |

I like the idea of having categories for guilds, however it would be difficult to find a way that they could be in a leaderboard. Social guilds would not really have a way to be measured besides playercount and player activity.

Is this what you mean? 1. Manage Guild 2. Select categories (ex: you picked spar) 3. Player1 searches for guilds and selects a filter whereas it'll show up only sparring guilds Shows up that way since you selected spar as a category for your guild. |

http://blog.vjeux.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/wor-recruit-search.png (Unsupported image host) So basically this. You want to have a guild search filter implemented so it's a lot easier to discover old or newer guilds. Then tweak it so leader of guilds select the category their guild best fits and the player searches using the filters provided Or like this for example in CoC: http://i61.tinypic.com/2hydo51.jpg (Unsupported image host) |

yes! i just feel like its too hard to find a good active guild especially because there aren't that many. i think there would be more if they had some type of advanced search

Being able to specify, advertise and filter a guild's primary interests (e.g. Forts, Sparring, RP, Social) is something we've already been considering in the new system.
