True, but elections take a long time. The vp becomes president, after an impeachment, and they pretty much share the same values and plans.

Having the presidency limited to 1 year is what I meant. That puts pressure on the party to get things done, because all those promises are very fresh in the peoples' minds. They won't just wait 3 years, and on their last few months they start completing their promises, just so the other party can remove them later.

Then they'll spend 9 of their 12 months running for re-election and not doing their job.

If you want nothing to ever get done at all, that's the way to do it.

It was more for the entertainment of the elections. I'm sure things could get done, if both parties started agreeing with each other, instead of playing everyone with their "he has not done this/she has not done that."

Parties don't just magically start agreeing with each other, that's why there are parties in the first place. Fundamental ideological differences. That doesn't just go away.  

In Canada, our Prime Minister serves at Her Majesty's Pleasure (that's the official saying) so there's no fixed term for how long our Prime Minister can remain in office, our current Prime Ministers dad served for nearly 16 years

We have no-confidence motions which means if a PM is doing more bad than good we can call for their removal, in 2008-2009 there was an attempt to call one but the current PM managed to prorogue Parliament and prevented them from voting on it so we still have some flaws

But yah there's no way Canada would end up in a situation like America, I can see our current PM lasting over 10 years

Our longest PM was in office for a total of 21 years

Parties don't just magically start agreeing with each other, that's why there are parties in the first place. Fundamental ideological differences. That doesn't just go away.

It does when they could lose a large quantity of potential voters by disagreeing. They tend to hide their true selves in order to acquire the millenial vote.  

Trump will lose sadly, Could be worse we could have Canada's prime minister instead of Hillary.  

With Hillary's health problems, I wish it gets severe. Cry me a river if you're triggered by my comment.
