If they did that, then they probably would have still not made a profit. It wasn't even advertised that much. I think the basic nub figurine was more of a test to see how many/if anyone would buy a figurine. Being unsure about how many people would actually buy them resulted in them taking a much safer road. If they had the money, maybe a set amount of pre-orders, then they could invest in 3D printers, and have the custom figurines for a slightly higher price. They could have a lot more options with a 3d printer for their figurines. Positions such as the sword slash, sitting, etc. Example of a 3d printed figurine. http://www.3ders.org/images/twinkind-3d-printed-figurine-4.png (Unsupported image host) |

@Aguzo It was through a middle man that took a portion of their sales.

What I'm saying is that there wasn't that much market for them to do this, and the lack of options (just a basic nub figure) really lowered it for them. I think companies offer 3d printing services, so people can just make/buy their own. Prices are around $80 - $100 though. They could probably sell t-shirts, hats, beanies, etc. But again, you have to know if people will actually buy them. |

They didn't allow customization cuz they can't convert 2D character to 3D. And the price of a tiny figurine started from $35 including taxes. Idk about the shipping fee tho |

No joke. I have a vivid memory of visiting a Samsung store in Manhattan and they actually had a Graal (Fung Si Yan) Figurine displayed in one of their wall display cases. Like in 2015. I am pretty positive that I took a picture of it, but changed to iphone and never saved a backup of my old crappy android phone.

the whole idea was completely pointless for the fact that they wouldn't allow you to print customized characters, why even call it "3D printing" in that case… they weren't live printing anything, they were just selling Graal figurines
