no but seriously, who here is vegan? it occurred to me that this hasnt actually been asked and im interested to see who in the community is vegan.

perhaps this can lead to some discussion about the veganism movement as well,,, i will convert u all some day :-)

I've been vegan for over a year now; it was a day or two before Thanksgiving of 2015 and I've never looked back. If you don't know what veganism is, google it! Before I went vegan, i can honestly say I had no idea what was going on and I somehow remained blissfully ignorant to the whole industry that uses and abuses animals to their gain. I don't regret a single thing and I'd be happy to talk to anyone who's been interested in becoming vegan or even vegetarian, what food to eat, what food not to eat, what it is, and why.

yes you are correct if you think it's crazy to respect animals and the planet but then im happi to b crazy

I only went vegan during a 21-Day Cleanse in which I lost 10lbs but other than that I eat healthy with meats. I eat meats that aren't injected with growth hormones or steroids. I know there's greens that can replace my intake of proteins but I just can't go without it.

veganism isnt just about being healthy -- i mean it is in fact healthier but that's not the overall message.

It's about respecting and loving animals, realizing they aren't ours to use and abuse and eat, they have feelings and deserve to live just like you and i. the meat industry, the dairy industry, they're horrid and so gruesome. if it's hard for you to watch the videos, or research, then you shouldn't be giving your money to the industries that are only running because of your dollar. im serious, research it, it's some dark ****.

i respect every animal i devour, just like the ancient hunters when hunting for food

it would take over 1000-1500 years for the people to change this big mess of mass production and even if it stopped, humanity would need to be trained to eat differently

this long because of epigenetics

you dont respect an animal when you eat it, not only is it not ancient times (meat is not essential to surviving), you're paying a corrupt industry to mass slaughter the animals you crave to eat.

every movement starts somewhere, veganism has grown so incredibly fast, it doesn't matter if it takes time to change the corrupt meat and dairy industries- everything starts somewhere.

PETA is not the vegan community, what they do does not reflect it. I like PETA, many hate PETA. I like PETA for their message of animal rights and they go about it in a way that catches your attention, which it needs to. I don't agree with everything they do, but I respect them as an organization and what they stand for. They are the largest non-profit organization for veganism and animal rights so I stand by them.

(also hunting for sport is not ok so like .>..>>.)  

Its a life cycle. An animal must live. Animals in Africa all eat eachother, so whats wrong with eating cows? Its normal.
