there's no way to become popular; popularity is a natural thing that only comes to genetically superior, good looking people. Look at the popular people in your school- what do they have in common? Genetically superior attributes of course, such as being naturally good at sports, good looking (main one), and they're extroverted.

as you can see, it's an ugly person. and they're not ugly because they're not dressed well, it's because they're fat, but more specifically they have bad bone structure causing their ugly faces and they probably lisps or braces which is due to BAD BONE STRUCTURES (genetic)

I mentioned extrovertedness being correlated with popularity, but it also highly correlates with LOOKS. if you're ugly you will get treated badly by people, a negative feedback loop from others, causing a ****ty introverted personality? Ever heard of a good looking geek/nerd who sits in their basement all day? Of course not.

tl;dr popularity is entirely based on genetic factors which are out of your control.

if you are attractive (which is almost entirely based on looks), you WILL literally attract people to you

For example, we had this kid who was real ugly in HS, I mean as bad as it sounds, he literally looked like Igor. However, he participated in school events such as One Act and in student crowds cheering on the sports teams.
He went from a 0 when I first met him to at least an 8.

A lot of history shows that what you believe determines who you are. An example might be that those in ancient civilizations who believed they themselves were Gods rather than rulers became popular in society and did great (or notorious) things. Not only that, but psychologists have been saying this for decades, it's nothing new.

The 'fake it till you make it' saying it probably your best bet, but you've got to truly believe it.
Start meditating daily. Sleep with hypnosis affirmations on in the background. Listen to relaxing and peaceful music on your way to school. Watch TED videos on loving yourself.
There are hundreds of tools available to you online that you can use for believing in yourself.

I know what a 0 and 8 is and neither of them is exclusively related to looks.
You can look like a 10, be a straight-up douchebag, and you're automatically a 0.
Saw that a lot in highschool too, where they weren't popular because of their ugly personalities. Likely similar to you with your ugly attitute

Narcissists, which are in many cases the popular kids, tend to enjoy using people. When you give them something to use you for, you enter the popular group. Once you're in, you have one of two choices: take over, or leave.

For example, my video production and technical skills (mostly) got me into helping the popular group in various projects. I was in. They aren't necessarily rude, but just have that tendency to "need help." I have a girlfriend and she and I don't really give a flying **** about being popular, so I've been kinda balancing on the tightrope with my "popularity status" lately. Meaning, I'm on the fine line between being popular and not being popular solely because I know my boundaries.

I've developed relationships by simply helping people, and I tend to fit in all cliques because I enjoy helping people. In that sense, I am popular but not in the way you hope to achieve.

I made it onto homecoming court so I suppose that says something. You don't have to be a total douche to be popular.
