ID.net is just a simple verification method like how you verify your account through email, ID.net logins was common back in old flash games that ran in your web browser. But a lot of people stopped using it because it became unsafe, almost insanely easy to hack into, so email is more commonly used since it's safer, More reliable. And overall more secure. Though the real question is why on earth doesn't graal have a method to change emails. That's considered a most have for almost any email verifying application

They used to allow changing email addresses on PC Graal, where you'd have to contact an Accounts person. They stopped doing it around I think 2008 not long before iGraal. I don't really know why, but the way they were doing it before I don't expect would be scalable to the present userbase of iGraal. You would have to ask Stephane what his reasoning is I'd imagine. I guess one way to handle the problem is to contract out to another company and hold them responsible for any identity-related liability.
