agreed. There are a few outliers who abuse VPN in any opportunity to get an advantage in any setting applicable and it is exploitative and disgusting. Shame. Shams. Shame. Tsk Tsk Tsk

Yeah, I see your point. Certain people could VPN to countries in asia when they're really from europe, and then say they're on a "business trip", "vacation" or "internship." I think this will only be used for player sided messages from NPCs like "check back at 9:00 for your new bounty!" rather then the "must wait inbetween bounties" message.

Otherwise I don't like this at all. For example, you could be a girl PC sparrer in the guild (endeavor), VPN to canada, but say you're from texas (where the server is so you'd have no delay), but have a considerable delay/lag when your flag is canadian while also saying it's a flag glitch. It's obvious you're lying but there isn't an effective anti-VPN measure so you'd get away with it.

This is purely theoretical, and I used endeavor only because they're one of the top spar guilds rn and I have immense respect for them. They'd NEVER cheat or break the rules and I know this because they reported every other gst team last season because they thought they might have been breaking rules, so don't take this the wrong way anyone.

Exactly man, I don't think timezones should affect things like Christmas Openings or Bounty. Only thing I can see it applying is aesthetically like a Day/Night system which I suspected, or for what I heard suggested like knowing timezones for your members for NGS.

I don't think timezones will be able to be locked like countries, as FP4 said the flash player won't pick it up correctly. But if they would to be locked, many people could abuse vpn to exploit the many features that this could make viable. Especially the competitive community, in particular the spar community, with certain people who have many belts and a super high ratio but all achieved unfairly due to breaking the rules.

Especially if someone is in, lets say, France, but VPNS to, lets say. China, wouldn't it disrupt the atmosphere of it being night in your home country, France, if it's day in-game? It's like Animal Crossing, it's better if you play it right and not time-travel.
